Objectives

  • Visit 270 Boots stores over 3 day period to carry out compliance checks on promotional sitings.
  • To merchandise an additional small promotional unit onto a side rack. A number of larger Boots stores required more than 1 unit on display.

The Merchandisers were briefed to:

  • Telephone the store prior to the visit
  • Record whether the correct promotion is sited on a promotional gondola end in store
  • Correct and implement this where possible
  • Site and merchandise a small side rack unit
  • Replenish all displays

Results – 41% On entry – 80% On exit

On entry, 41% of stores had at least 1 existing unit. Following an additional unit being placed in 74% of stores (in some cases this was a secondary unit) 86% of stores were left with at least 1 side rack unit in situ filled with the promotional product.
