Working with Waitrose

Objective

  • MSF were required to liaise and manage the flow of merchandising personnel working on the new store opening programme.
  • To coordinate the logistical elements of the campaign for all Merchandisers, including travel, accommodation and work schedule on a day to day basis.

Mechanics

  • MSF provided a comprehensive merchandising force to work alternate 12 hour shifts for 6 days and nights

Results – Task completed ahead of schedule

The new store opened on time and Waitrose were extremely happy with the high level of service offered. They particularly appreciated the calibre and experience of the merchandising personnel and MSF’s understanding and interpretation of the objectives.

The store were so impressed, they requested post-opening support teams for 7 weeks in the run to Christmas.

MSF have managed many similar store opening/refurbishment activities for Waitrose, in a relationship that has lasted several years.
