fmbe awards logo. MALLMSF are pleased to announce that we have once again been shortlisted in the ‘Most Effective Sampling Campaign’ category at this year’s Field Marketing & Brand Experience Awards.

MSF are proud to have won Gold at last year’s awards and hope that this success is repeated in 2010!

This year’s entry is based around the fantastic sampling events MSF carry out within Morrisons, so a huge thank you to everyone in the Brand Experience team for making these campaigns such a huge success!

The winner will be announced at the FMBE Awards ceremony due to take place in October – so watch this space!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No….it’s Alina!

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Alina - 4th Aug 2010On the weekend of Saturday 26th June, Alina Eccleshall, who works as an Account Executive in the Brand Experience Department organising in-store demonstrations and merchandising campaigns, took to the skies in order to throw herself out of a plane… just for fun!

Having completed her ground training the week before and apparently with much waiting around for the right wind speed and visibility, Alina finally managed to carry out one of her New Year Resolutions to complete a solo parachute jump at Headcorn Parachute Club in Kent.

In fact she seems to like it so much she now keeps going back for more and is hoping to progress to skydiving shortly!

We’ll keep you updated!

SERVICE MILESTONES

Monday, July 5th, 2010

Congratulations to three members of staff who recently celebrated reaching significant service milestones for MSF.

Tracy Janke celebrated 5 years with the company in May of this year. Tracy, who is an office administrator for our Field Manager in the North West, is responsible for booking our Field Personnel for both our Brand Experience and Tactical teams.

We would also like to congratulate Phyllis Moss and Marie McLellan, both of whom have both recently celebrated an amazing 15 years of service with MSF.

Phyllis works in our Pay Input department and is reponsible for processing the paperwork that is returned to us by our demonstration and merchandising teams, and ensuring everyone is paid on time!

Marie McLellan is our Field Manager for Scotland, and is responsible for the recruitment, training and appraising of our field personnel based in that area.

Congratulations to all of you and we look forward to many more years with MSF!

FEELING BLUE!

Monday, July 5th, 2010

On Friday 18th June, MSF held a ‘Blue Day’ on behalf the Everyman Cancer Campaign.

Everyman’s mission is to stamp out testicular and prostate cancer. They hope to achieve this by making everyone recognise the tell-tale signs, and understand the importance of treating them.

Everyone at MSF either wore blue clothing or brought in blue food, and made a donation to the Everyman campaign for the privilege.

Top marks go to our HR Manager who went the full nine yards and dressed up as a Smurf! Needless to say, she got a few strange looks when she ventured out onto the streets at lunchtime!

MSF RAISES MORE MONEY FOR SPORT RELIEF!

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

SR-IN SUPPORT CMYKOn Friday 19th March, MSF held a ‘Mufti’ day with a difference!

In aid of Sport Relief, Head Office employees wore sportswear to work and paid a small donation for the privilege!

In addition to this, members of the Brand Experience, Tactical and Store Development departments took part in a general knowledge quiz and paid an entrance fee to take part, with all the proceeds also going to Sport Relief. Amazingly, by the end of the quiz every team taking part had achieved exactly the same score!

Well done to the three members of the winning team, (Kim Secretan, Alina Eccleshall and Angela Hannam), who ended up victorious after correctly answering the tie-breaker question and guessing how many green dots there are in the MSF logo (45 in case you want to know!).

MSF had already made a donation to the ‘Peter Jones Pedal Power 1000’ campaign and are proud to have contributed to the £31,000,000 raised so far this year for Sport Relief.

Well done to everybody involved!

MSF WIN GOLD AT THE FIELD MARKETING AND BRAND EXPERIENCE AWARDS 2009!

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

We are delighted to announce that Merchandising Sales Force Ltd won the Gold Award in the ‘Most Effective Sampling Campaign’ category at the Field Marketing & Brand Experience Awards 2009.

Our winning entry was based around the ‘British at its Best’ sampling campaigns MSF carried out in Morrisons supermarkets the previous year, which we devised to complement their above the line advertising of New Season produce.

We were able to show the success of our campaigns via analysis of EPOS data – all the products sampled showed a significant increase in sales on the day of the tasting as well as after the event. However, we could show more measurements than that. We were able to demonstrate that the sampling had significantly benefited sales in activity stores versus those stores that had not been selected to participate in the tastings. We were also able to compare sales directly with consumer buying patterns in the sampled stores one year previously to evidence the success of the sampling.

‘The winning campaign was regarded by the judges as being as good a justification for in-store sampling as you are likely to witness’         FM&BE Awards 2009 Magazine

MSF are ultra organised and a credit to the Retailer

I have worked for MSF since 1999 and have enjoyed the last 10 years enormously. The variation of products promoted, the different members of staff I’ve met in various store groups and the excellent support I get from the MSF Team have all gone to making each new activity challenging, exciting and fulfilling.
